I took a train and bus to arrive at the Batcave, a house full with open minded, crazy international people. After offending some of the Canedians in the house (thats apperantly the way to make friends, according to a book I am reading) we decided we liked each other and went for a walk to get some pizza (which for me was more like having breakfast than having a midnight snack).
After sleeping on the floor matrass, Seyan made me some delightfull (kuch kuch) coffee, and in the afternoon we (him and two other couchsurfers) went to the city center to walk around and arrange some practicall stuff (bank account/phone number).
The city center is great, you can see the high mountains from every point in the city, and when its dark, the mountains have all the lights on them like covered by a blanket.
I really liked walking through Granville street, a big street with all different kinds of food places, shops and bars. Especially walking there at dawn was beautifull.
Also, the Christmas lights are different here, far more colours than in Holland, and also, in shops all the vegetarian food is above all the meat food, pointing out they really care about that shit here.
I am trying to fight the jetlag now, and gonna make a nice pasta for all the people in te Batcave here.

Rob En Hilda:
Well, happy new year! And many beautifull dawns in Canada!
I thought the offending bit for making friends was british, but it is the canadian way as well?
